Climate Resilience

Projects
Below are a few selected projects that I have developed and managed over the past few years.

2023-2025
Federal funding project KlaR
The KlaR funding project, Climate Adaptation in Regensburg - Making Resilience Perceivable, was launched in August 2023. It focused on developing climate adaptation measures for two squares in Regensburg's old town. The project was carried out in cooperation with the City Planning Office and the Bifa Environmental Institute.
2018-2025
Climate resilience strategy
A climate resilience strategy is the basis for targeted and efficient action. A report compiles the key measures, thus communicating the current processes in a comprehensible manner to the public.

2024
Urban climate analysis
In addition to the strategy, a city needs a climate function map. This map shows the heat stress in different areas of the city. This allows targeted local measures to be implemented to reduce the stress. The map was created by Burghardt and Partner Ingenieure from Kassel.
2019-2020
Heavy rain management
In 2019, I chaired a roundtable on heavy rain with 14 departments and the Mayor for the Environment. Within the framework of the established working groups, initial guidelines were developed, as well as a series of measures that the City Council approved for implementation.

2021-2022
Hitzemanagement
As project developer and project manager, I conducted a comprehensive heat management process in 2021 with the support of EPC GmbH and the relevant departments. Ultimately, 10 key measures for implementation were approved, including a heat action plan and a climate function map.
